JOB DESCRIPTION: GUEST SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE
Jurassic Forest and Learning Centre is Canada’s largest animatronic dinosaur Discovery Park located just minutes north of Edmonton, Alberta. Discovery Trails set amid 40 acres of old growth forest. Educational programs and special events are offered seasonally from May to October, inviting guests to learn about and interact with Alberta’s plants and animals of the past and present. Guest Services Representatives are the ambassadors of Jurassic Forest and are responsible for ensuring all guests have a safe and exciting dino-filled visit. In the prehistoric park guests come face to face with dinosaurs and other fauna while exploring the natural wonders of an old growth forest. As a member of the Jurassic Forest team, it is up to you to help guests of all ages enjoy an unforgettable prehistoric journey!

Guest Services Representative Job Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service and build rapport with guests.

Act as a point of contact for visitor questions, directions, and information.

Perform guest services and operate tills at the admissions desk, gift shop, concession, and cafe.

Follow appropriate health procedures to prepare and serve food in the park’s concession and cafe.

Cleaning and upkeep of the facility and trails.

Assist the Maintenance Manager with day-to-day tasks, such as mowing the front fields, watering flowers, and weed removal.

Guest Services Representative Job Requirements:

Family-friendly attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to customer service.

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Have or working towards an Alberta high school diploma or equivalent.

Proactive, responsible, and able to work as part of a team as well as independently.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing quality of service.
-
Previous experience with POS systems and food handling is an asset.

Position Details:

Seasonal position running from late April to early September (with opportunities to stay until October.)

Mandatory paid training sessions will take place on weekends in April.

Part-time and Full-time work available depending on week-to-week labour requirements.

Access to reliable transportation is necessary due to the facility being located outside of city limits.

Wage $15.75-$16.50/hour, depending on education and experience.
